The goal of every consumer bankruptcy case under Chapters 7 or 13 is to ultimately obtain a discharge. Among the various responsibilities that a Debtor has in order to obtain a discharge is the requirement to take a second bankruptcy course by the statutorily-imposed deadline. This second course is typically known as a course in financial management or debtor education.
